FIGHT IN KUALA LUMPUR'S PREMIER IT MALL ON SATURDAY EVENING, PROTESTS AND FURTHER VIOLENCE ON SUNDAY
The Facebook page down below contains a video showing a fight which erupted on the ground floor of Low Yat Plaza, Kuala Lumpur's premier IT mall on Saturday evening.
This quite frankly surprises me as I have not heard of such an incident in an IT mall since way back in the 1980s when I was a frequent visitor to the IT mall in Imbi Plaza near to where the much newer and larger Low Yat Plaza stands today in Bukit Bintang (Star Hill), Kuala Lumpur's entertainment hub, red light district and popular tourist destination. Moreover, the developing ethnic undertones with regards this incident are concerning and rather dangerous.
Some reports say that a youth shoplifted a mobile phone from the Oppo phone shop, was caught and detained by the security guard who handed him over to the police and he called upon his friends to retaliate and seven of them wrecked the shop and assaulted some of its sales persons.

Other reports claim that the youth was sold a reconditioned phone and later came back to demand a replacement and was refused,so snatched the supposedly new phone out of the salesman's hand.
For example, this one which is in the Malay language and alleges racial undertones.
